BBC Webcast

Owen Suskind was a chatty toddler when at 3 he developed regressive autism. I heard this story told by his Dad and Owen on the BBC yesterday and was so moved by it.
Please listen and reflect…we are so fortunate to be part of an inclusive, caring, learning community.

It is an amazing story. It will only take a few minutes of your time.
Thanks

Wood off-cuts anyone?

Would you like any bits/pieces of wood? If so, I have some in the theatre! It will be here until Monday morning and then it will be thrown away. See me if you can use it.

CNY Skit

Each year, the teachers and students at NIS put together a Chinese New Years skit to perform during the CNY assembly. This is made up of both Chinese and non-Chinese speakers, students and teachers alike. If you’d like to perform in this skit, then please contact Miss Keus by Wednesday, December 14th.  The skit will be 10 minutes long, so we only need less than 10 people. At the moment, we are looking for the following roles:

  • some teachers and staff who were born in the Year of the Rooster.
  • a Chinese-speaking student who can help write the script with Miss Keus.
  • anyone else who is confident performing in either English and/or Chinese.

I will, of course, be chasing up our normal crew of performers, as we all want to see Mr. Tyoschin dancing, Kostya fighting, etc.

Remember… You’re Invited!

Don’t miss the opportunity to meet up with all of your favourite NIS friends and colleagues, to receive possibly the best Christmas gift of the season and to share and enjoy some delicious light snacks.

When: Friday 9th December from 4:00 – 6:00ish

Where: Staff Lounge
