Year: 2019

G6-9 Mandarin Phase 3 Students

Dear Mandarin Phase 3 Students…a reminder to be in the LGR at the start of break today to meet your partner from the local school. This will be a super quick meeting as Grade 9 will need to get to the Science Fair asap. Don’t be late!

Reduce, Re-use, Recycle

Reduce, Reuse and Recycle team members will be coming to middle and upper school classrooms TOMORROW during extended advisory to collect printer paper for recycling. This will be the LAST collection of the year. Please handle your printing paper independently after tomorrow.

Please recycle ONLY PRINTER PAPER in the recycling boxes (used on both sides with no tape or staples). Thank you for your support this year!

Students: turn in your library books!

All library books are now due, so please return your library books! Overdue notices will be sent to students and parents at 9 am this morning!

If you are returning next year, you may check out books over the summer.

Summer library book checkout

Students, parents, and staff members can check out library books over the summer if you will be returning to campus in August. I would suggest checking those books out as soon as possible, since we are beginning to box up the secondary portion of the library this week to move to our temporary location for next year.

End of Year Technology Notice – Departing Students and Staff

End-of-Year Technology Notice

As is always the case, many of our families head off to their new homes as we approach the end of the school year. Your NIS IT Department wants to make this segue as care-free as possible. To this end, please note the following important dates for access to various services online. We are also happy to facilitate your transfer of files provided you give us some lead time and book with us in advance. We will also have normal working hours the week after school is out, so we can also plan to assist you then, as well. This is not goodbye, only farewell until we meet again!

Joe, Xia, York, Cindy, Eric, Cassie and Wind

Block 1 today in MSUS

Are you a Middle or Upper School student? Do you know where you are supposed to be in block 1 today? These are the possible options:

  • In an exam (All of Grade 10 and some students in Grades 7 -9)
  • In an activity that you have previously signed up for (check your Veracross portal)
  • In the US Student lounge (G11 only)
  • In your regular class (Grade 6 only)

If in doubt, ask your Advisor for help 🙂

Lost Keys

I have lost a set of keys. They are on a ring with a pink London 2012 Olympics key chain. Did I leave them in your room on Monday? Did I leave them on a table somewhere? If you see them please send them my way.

Thanks a million, Ruth
