You can find me in the (homework) club….

Today and every Monday! Come check it out from 3:15-4:15. Who else is coming? One Maths/Science teacher, one English/Humanities teacher,  and one LSS teacher and lots of grade 6-12 students.

Get that out-of-class learning finished in a quiet and helpful learning environment!


What is Homework Club? A quiet space where you can complete your out-of-class learning assignments, get organized, get your questions answered, and get prepared for a great semester!

Who is there? ANYONE from grades 6-12 can come. There is always 1 LSS teacher, 1 Maths/Science teacher, and one English/Humanities teacher available to answer any of your questions.

When is it? Today and every Monday from 3:15-4:15

Where is it? In the brand new, b-e-a-utiful Learning Support area around the corner from Mr. Messom’s classroom and the PAC.

Homework Club!

Do you need help organizing your time? Confused about your classes? Out-of-class learning assignments already building up? Want to check out the brand new Learning Support area?

If your answer is “YES!” to any of these questions please come to the new Learning Support area Mondays from 3:15-4:15! Any and every student grade 6-12 is welcome to attend. There will always be one Learning Support teacher, one Maths (and maybe science) teacher, and one English (and maybe humanities) teacher there ready to help you!



What? Come play Chicago Style 16 Inch Softball

Who? Everyone ages 12-100

Where? The field

When? Today at 4:00 P.M.

Why? Because it’s AWESOME!

We will use a ball similar to the one on the left below. It’s 16″, easy to hit, easy to catch, and you don’t need any experience to play. Play ball!





GAMEDAY is returning today during lunch in the PYP LGR (the temporary LSS area). Bring your games, bring your friends, bring some food (for the teachers of course), and bring some skills! Spoons, Jenga, Uno and many many more!

Bring. It. On.

Next week. Due to some scheduling conflicts, there will be no game day today. Next Friday, we will have a HUGE return with games galore. Be ready.

16″ Softball! Play Ball

Come out to the field at 4 to play some good ol’ fashioned Chicago Style softball (weather permitting). All teachers and students grade 6 and above are invited to come! No experience necessary. Let me know if you have any questions.

If you don’t use inches, here is a diagram with a coin, wiffle ball, magic 8 ball, softball, and cantaloupe to show you exactly how big a 16 inch softball is!

A reminder that the last game day will be held today in the foyer in front of the library. 1-1:30 for MYP and 1:30-2:00 for the PYP. Game On!

Dia de Juego!

Come one, come all for the last Game Day of the year! We will be setting up in front of the library from 1-2 on Friday. Everyone is welcome to come join in for the last go. MYP from 1-1:30 and PYP from 2-2:30. Come challenge your teachers and friends to a variety of card and board games. Challenge Accepted.

Chicago Style Softball? HOT DOG!

Yogi Berra once said, “Baseball is 90% mental and the other half is physical.”

Luckily, we will be playing softball!

Come out today (Thursday) at 4:00 to play some 16″ softball on the football (soccer) pitch! Teachers, parents, and any student grade 6 and above can come and give it a go. No experience or glove necessary.


Basketball Tournament For Nepal!

There will be an adult basketball tournament in the Blue Gym tomorrow (Saturday) from 10-4ish to help raise money to give aid to the people of Nepal. Eight teams will be competing from Nanjing and the surrounding areas. Everyone is welcome to come and watch. Donations will be greatly appreciated! All money raised will be donated through to help bring clean water and hygiene equipment to the thousands of people in need.

Chi-Town Softball is Coming!

When? 4:00 P.M (not A.M.)

What is it? A type of baseball…but way better. No gloves, no experience necessary, and a whole lot of fun.

Where? On the field

Other info? Nope.


Again? Yes AGAIN! GAME DAY!!

That’s right, Game Day is back!! Fresh off of Spring Break we will be meeting in the Fish Bowl across from IT at the beginning of lunch (1:00 P.M.).

All the homework, projects and exams stressing you out? Game Day.

Do you want to beat some teachers and show them that you are a true Board Game Warrior? Game Day.

Do you have any questions? The answer will always be “Game Day.”

Play our games, bring your own, make up your own-whatever you need to do, we are there to play against you!  Bring. It. On.


Do you like to play games? Me too! Do you want to challenge a teacher to a board/card/dice/other type of game? Of course you do! Well there is some good news: Friday Game Day is continuing this Friday during the first half of lunch in the fishbowl (the room across from IT). Bring your own game or play one of ours (Uno, Spoons, Uno Attack, Jenga, and a variety of others). Challenge your friends. Challenge your teachers. Challenge yourself. As Author Unknown once said, “The way a man plays a game shows some of his character. The way he loses shows all of it.”
