1. Your first activity for this section is to do a Google image search on the term ‘oil consumption’. Choose four different types of graphical representation, at least two of which should include oil production. In a blog entry, show the four images you chose, explain why you chose them and what the benefits and limitation of each image.

Use the provided resources to produce the following – using the most appropriate techniques:

  • A single world map with two layers of data plotted upon it: top 10 oil producing nations and top 10 oil consuming nations.
  • A graph which plots oil production since 1965 for the United States of America, Brazil, United Kingdom, Australia and China.
  • A graph which plots oil consumption since 1965 for the United States of America, Brazil, United Kingdom, Australia and China.

The one map and two graphs should be annotated to highlight patterns, trends and anomalies.
