Grade 10

In order to meet the overall MYP aims and objectives, Physical Education in Gr 10 focuses on training advanced locomotor, non locomotor, and manipulative skills whilst perfecting planning and strategical skills. There is also a focus on health-related activities, such as fitness and body systems. The emphasis for the course is for the students to be able to make informed decisions that lead to living and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

In the 1st semester this is achieved through students participating in health related exercises with a focus on training principles (FITTOP) and energy systems, and a group movement composition. In the 2nd semester students apply more advanced tactics, skills and techniques through net games and athletics, and plan and choreograph a creative martial arts composition.
