Chocolate for all!

Now that I have your attention, I can get down to business! There are not enough students in the Paper/4R Team to visit every room to empty the blue recycling boxes. If you are a class teacher, please organise your students to sort your paper (used on one side to reuse in the classroom/used on both sides to recycle) and to take it to the big painted 4R bins. Please remind your students not to put plastic and other non-paper rubbish in the paper recycling bins. Thanks for your cooperation.

P.S. Sorry about the chocolate!

2015-16 Calendar – Artwork needed!

PYP teachers, it is that time of year when the Arts department come knocking at your door for artwork to photograph for next year’s school calendar. When your Grade level has some art pieces you think would be great for the calendar, you may do one of two things:

1. Send them down to Fenella or Eleven in the Design Centre.

2. Whip an email off to Fenella and someone will come by to photograph the artwork.

Universities Visit

Today’s Universities Fair won’t be starting until about 9am…

A reminder that there are over 22 Universities being represented from around the world coming and bringing huge experience with them.

It is a fantastic chance for you to ask everything you ever wanted to ask about university life, courses, external testing, visas, dorm living, English language requirements – the works.

Break out sessions: 9.30 The College Essay (US) and 10.30 Liberal Arts (US, Netherlands, some UK, Germany)

SAT – June 6th

The deadline for applying for this SAT is 24th April at Noon.

You need to have paid for the test AND returned the pink receipt to me.

This is a real world deadline, so if you are late, you won’t be taking the test, it’s that simple.

Lunchtime Unicycling @NIS is rolling onto campus (G5-8 students)

Are you interested in knowing more about physics? Motion, balance, forces etc.? Not really? Well, perhaps you are interested in something that involves physics but doesn’t require an understanding physics to enjoy – unicycling. This will be a lunchtime activity – hopefully every lunchtime for the next few weeks.  You will be under the instruction of the Master of Wheels and Movement – Mr Underwood.  Open to Grade 5 – 8 students. Guaranteed to bring more balance to your life. If you are interested please email me. Limited places.
