Day: November 29, 2015

Language Acquisition

 Provide opportunities for success.

If the student is comfortable with this, showcase certain accomplishments and talents.  Give the student simple, nonverbal classroom jobs, such as passing out or collecting papers. Encourage participation in less language demanding tasks. When the class is working in small groups, give the student a specific, manageable role such as being responsible for the supplies or creating a chart or time line.

The Final Countdown

Twas the last day of Movember, and all through NIS,
Men were scratching their itchy faces, while women were thinking, “YES!
Finally the time has come, for our men to be less hairy,
Though some of them were kind of handsome, most looked a little scary.”
The razors have been sharpened and the shaving cream is all set,
but before Movember is finished, try not to forget:
These men were doing more than just growing facial hair,
They were raising money for male health issues, and helping others to be more aware.
So if you get a chance today, please visit this site and donate,
Movember may almost be over, but it’s definitely not too late!
