ASA cycle 3 – Would you like to run an ASA in Cycle 3? – G9-11
We are starting to plan for ASA cycle 3 and invite any G9-11 students who would like to run an ASA, particularly for PYP students to contact me. I will ask again after the CNY break so you may like to think about this and let me know then.
Xuanwu win again!!
At yesterday’s Gr9 – 12 Badminton competition, Xuanwu won yet another competition, bringing them to within 15 points of Taiping. Wutaishan were second and Taiping third. Can Xuanwu do it again today at the Gr6 – 8 badminton? Come along to the gym at lunchtime to find out!!

Yearbook Photo Day
New students (and students and staff members who missed the first semester photo day) will have their individual yearbook mugshots taken on Wednesday, February 24, Week 23, Day 2. The photographer will also be taking the homeroom group photos. Details will be given during INSET, but mark the date on your calendar TODAY.
Live Broadcasting by Star Radio DJ @ NIS
Dear all,
As part of our Career Week activities, Deng Huang, star Radio DJ from FM97.5, will come to NIS and work on a Programme that will be internally broadcasted in NIS during lunch break on Feb. 5th, Friday.
The Venue of broadcasting is in the Design Center. You are welcome to come and to interact with the MCs. Prepare your questions and wishes for the Year of Monkey.

Next Year G10/11 Discover China Trip – Selections
Today is the last day for G9 and 10 students to make their selection for next year’s G10 and 11 Discover China week trips. The survey will close at 9.00am. All G9 and 10 students should do this survey.
Inter house badminton
Don’t forget tomorrow the inter house badminton competitions will start. G9-12 will be held on Wednesday 3rd Feb at lunch time in the gym and G6-8 will be held on Thursday 4th Feb at lunch time in the Gym. Please contact your house captains or leaders if you would like to participate.
Nerf Gun – team building
Work alongside people you don’t normally work with: cover their back and protect them under fire. Bring a nerf gun for Friday’s afternoon inset if you are interested. Several people may have extra nerf guns. If you are considering buying one, be aware that taobao may not be delivering that quickly over Chinese New Year. Both real and fake Nerf guns work well, especially for a one off battle. They can be purchased at Toys R Us and I have previously seen them at Golden Eagle. Hope to be working with you on Friday. Note: the nerf shotgun fires well but has a tendency to have bad jams so I would not purchase that particular gun.
