G6-9 Discover China Week Service Opportunities – Suggestion

Most of the G6-9 Discover China week trips provide opportunities for you to achieve one of the Service Learning Outcomes. Have a look at your Trip itinerary to see if your trip provides a Service Activity and if so decide on one of the Service Outcomes you might be able to achieve and write an entry in Managebac discussing what you are going to do and how you expect you might achieve the Outcome. After the Trip write another entry reflecting about the trip Service activities and provide evidence of how you met the Service Outcome.

Discover China Week (G10-11 CAS) – Suggestion

All of the G10/11 Discover China week trips provide opportunities for you to achieve one or more of the CAS Learning Outcomes.

Yangshuo – Many Action Activities

Guizhou – Considered an Action and / or Service Activity

Xiamen – Various Action and Service Activities

First, decide on one of the CAS Outcomes you might be able to achieve on your trip and put an entry in Managebac (now) discussing what you are going to do and how you expect you might achieve the Outcome. After the Trip write another entry reflecting about the trip activities and provide evidence of how you met the CAS Outcome.

XFEST Friday Block Three (11:05am-12:00pm)

Hello All,

Some of our Grade 6 & 7 students will be sharing their processes, outcomes, and reflections from our first XBlock iteration on Friday in the PAC from 11:05am-12:00pm. This will be about 45 mins of informal sharing with a few students choosing to speak and perform. All 6/7 students will be available to chat and will be ready to discuss. This IS NOT a formal exhibition and there will be little pomp and circumstance, just a quick mix and mingle sharing session.

If you are available, feel free to come on down and see what they’ve been up to. Interested classes are also welcome, just let me know if you intend to bring student and I’ll send over some question prompts.

Thanks,

Kasson and the XBlock Team

Grade 6 and 7 in PAC Today Block 3

The Smallest Gifts

Good morning,

I’ve been asked to share a copy of the NIS illustrated story “The Smallest Gifts”.  I have saved a copy on Office 365 in the October INSET folder.

Thank you!
