Dear Colleagues,
Angela Romero is the current Staff Board Member. She is coming to the end of her two year tenure. She is interested in remaining on the Board for the next two years, however there is a process to allow any other interested staff members to put their name forward to join the Board. Practice until now at NIS has been that the staff member is a teacher.

If you would like to know more about the role please contact Angela Romero or Ellen. The two staff members of the 9 person Board do not have voting rights. No member of the Board is a representative of any group or community, however the Board seeks diversity of membership in order to bring a range of views and perspective to discussions. April 14 – nominations close
April 18 – meeting with Governance sub-committee on Board membership
April 19 – Election (if necessary)
May 21 – Board Retreat and training with Governance Consultant
