Block 3 (10:30 – 11:30am)
Grades 6, 7 and 8 will be sharing their work, the processes and next steps of their X-block projects. It is an opportunity for all members of the school community to come and hear from the students about their learning. Students will be working in the Design Centre, Upstairs of the Cafeteria, Music rooms and D342. Look out of the posters directing you where to go! Everyone is welcome.
Grade 6 to 8
I hope you are all getting into your chosen Xblock activity. Please remember to go to the spaces/rooms you were in on Friday. Gardeners – Mr Ben Dutton and Mr Danny Clarke will be working with you in the Garden from Tuesday so for today please go to D220.
There have been a few slight changes for the next 2 weeks. Please check that you are supervising the right space. Ben will start the Garden group on Tuesday so for Monday they should still go to D220.
Grade 6 to 8 advisors please tell your students to go straight to the PAC after break for the launch of this year’s Xblock.

Please see the attached poster. The Underwood’s will be spending time at an orphanage in Phnom Penh over the winter break. Old laptops are needed as Ati and Ato will be setting up a media centre to help the children there improve their learning opportunities. Mobile phones are needed to help older students get part time jobs to support their own learning.

The fridge, with the note on, will be used this weekend for the Basketball tournament. Please remove all items by 3pm on Friday 25th November.
Also if you have an hour free on Saturday between 8:30am and 1:20pm I would appreciate help with the Ray of Light Cambodia food stall. We will be selling food to the basketball players to raise money for the orphanage in Phnom Penh.

Some people are dressing up but it isn’t compulsory

100rmb but you get a lot for your money – Happy Hour prices all night, 2 slices of pizza and a draught beer on the way in. There is also a free shuttle service to and from local compounds.
All proceeds go to Ray of Light Cambodia. We have a number of projects on the go at the moment and rely completely on events such as these to fund them. You can buy tickets off me anytime.
I am taking Ati and Ato skiing (their first time) this holiday. I am after ski pants, gloves and ski jackets for all three of us. It would be great if you have any old ones we could borrow and return in August.

Why: To raise funds for Ray of Light Cambodia so other children can attend school and break the cycle of poverty.
