Girls’ Open Gym

Are you in Grade 7-12? Are you a girl? Have you ever wondered what it’s like to sink a 3-pointer? To score an “and-1” bucket? Cross-up a defender? Are you curious about what these things are? Well, if you are curious about this, or just want to come out and improve your basketball skills and vernacular (look that one up), come and check out our open gym on Fridays. See the info below:

When: Fridays @ 1515-1615

Where: One of the gyms (look for the one with girls shooting hoops)

Who: Girls in grades 7-12

What: Basketball games and fun drills

Grade 7 & 8 Girls: Join with SCISAC practices – Mondays and Wednesdays 4.20 – 6pm

Grade 8 and 9 boys – Tuesdays & Thursdays 4.20 – 5.30pm (starts tomorrow!)

Grade 6 & 7 Fun Into Food Today!

Hello Grade 6 & 7 Chefs!

Today during Block 2 is our annual Fun into Food Challenge with a celebrity chef from Chartwells. This year will pit Grade 6 versus Grade 7 in an epic cooking battle all about healthy food choices. All you need to do is leave your bags in your Block class, walk quietly to the PAC at 9:24am today, and be an interested and respectful audience.

Homework Club!

All grade 6-12 students are welcome to attend Homework Club both Monday and Wednesday from 3:15-4:15 in the LSS area (C142). Multiple teachers will be there ready to assist student’s with organization, projects, presentations, homework, and more. No sign-up is required.

Come on down and find a quiet place to work!

The Mezzanine (Upstairs in the Cafeteria)

The Upstairs Space in the Cafeteria (The Mezzanine) has been booked from 2 pm Wednesday 21. March for preparation & set up of the DP Visual Arts Exhibition.  All furniture will be removed and 140 + individual artworks will be installed during Wednesday afternoon + all day Thursday.

The Exhibition opens on Friday 23. March @ 6 pm.  All are welcome:  light refreshments & soft drinks provided.

Classes are very welcome to visit from Monday 26. March to the end of Block 4 on Thursday 29. March.  During the exhibition week the space can not be used for eating.  The outside area will be a very pleasant alternative during a week of predicted bright sunshine. (smily face)

Thursday 29. March @ 2 pm the exhibition will be dismantled & all furniture reinstalled.
