Artist Showcase: Marsha YiFan Yuan (G8)

NIS is proud to present a solo art exhibition created and curated by our very own Marsha in Grade 8. Please visit her art exhibition in the Centre Cafe any time during school hours – opening now until May 10th!

Don’t miss seeing her personal collection of artworks created in a variety of art media: graphite, pen and ink drawings, digital drawings, Chinese brush paintings, and oil painting.

The DP Art Exhibition is still on display this week till Friday noon – if you haven’t had the chance to see the amazing artworks on display created by G12s Romana, Alvina, and Amber (and G11s Ella, Jen, Gabin) @ the Centre Cafe, 2F, please make haste!

NIS DP Visual Arts Exhibition Continues until this Friday, Mar. 22!

A huge THANK YOU to all those who made the time to come out and support our senior art students at the DP Visual Arts Exhibition this past Friday night. The exhibition was a huge success and we are forever grateful to have a community that believes in the value of Art education. Our students have worked so hard for the past two years so your presence meant a lot to us.

2023 NIS Art Sale!

 

Hi! Currently in the art centre there are many wonderful and beautiful artworks created by our graduated class of 2023, including our wonderful secondary student art pieces created throughout this year. And we want to share their amazing talents and artistic styles to you all!

Please come to the library foyer to observe and BUY, that’s right, all artworks that will be displayed are for sale, allowing for you all to keep that special work of art.

All the proceeds will be donated to Hopeful Hearts allowing for children and adults to receive care.

The initial timing of the sale will begin at lunch this Wednesday and finish this Friday 3:30 pm. There will be instructions on how to pay on the red columns outside near the entrance of the cafeteria, so please be on the lookout for that.

Amber from grade 11 will assist you during breaks, lunches and after schools, if you need it. Her email is amberowczarek@nanjing-school.com.

Don’t forget today (Wednesday, April 19th)  is the Art Collective Art Sale in front of the library foyer! All artworks are created with recycled materials – beautiful artworks, not trash, looking for a new home!

Break time: 10:10-10:30AM

Lunch time: 12:00-1:00PM

Earth Day Art Sale this Wed! Don’t miss it!!

You may have noticed new wonderful artworks on display around school in the pool hallway and also in the foyer in front of the library this week! These artworks are all for sale for a great cause (proceeds will be donated to charity). Come check out our Earth Day Art Sale, hosted by The Art Collective, this Wednesday, April 19th, during break & lunch!

Textile Workshop For NIS Staff!

Hello, I am Sophia from G12 art class. I am hosting an art workshop related to my art exhibition (the one with the colorful dress) from the 27th to the 31st of March. If you are interested in creating a collaborative piece of artwork with me, G8, and G6, and experience with a various range of textiles, please sign up through the link below. Don’t miss G12 Junhao (Andy)’s interactive art at 12:30PM tomorrow!

Make sure to check out the Grade 12 DP Visual Art Exhibition before it closes on Friday, March 24th.

Tomorrow at 12:30, Andy will be showcasing one of his interactive artworks, which will only take around 5 minutes. Also, you can take a guided tour around his exhibition. Feel free to come and see it at dance studio on the 3rd floor.
