The Year of Monkey is just around the corner. This is a message to call attention to the upcoming CNY Day celebration on February 5. Please get your traditional Chinese jacket or dress ready. If you are new to China, you might want to check the shops in the neighborhood. Su Guo usually sells clothes for the new year. To have your ideal style or material, you can even have your jacket or dress tailor made. Ask a Chinese colleague for help.
ISTA High School and Middle School Theatre Festivals
Do you love Drama? Do you love being around other people who also love Drama? Would you like to go to Beijing and spend over 3 days just doing Drama? If yes – you should go on an ISTA Theatre Festival! Imagine that – more than 3 days doing Drama with other people who love doing Drama…
You are extremely fortunate as you have the opportunity to go on either a Middle School Festival (grades 6-8) or a High School Festival (grades 9-11) in Beijing in March. You do not need to be a drama student to go – you simply need to enjoy being dramatic!
There will be a meeting for the High School Festival Monday break in the Black Box. This is for everyone already signed up – as well as anyone else who is interested. There are still spaces available!

GradeBook Update for Semester 2
Semester 2 has been activated for GradeBook. From GradeBook, you will notice the Grading Period at the right conner of gradebook page is showing S2 instead of S1. This change will show you all assignments which have the due date in Semester 2 and will hide the ones in Semester 1. You can switch it among S1, S2 and All Year from grading period to check different timeline assignments.

Student Assistant Coach Vacancies
There are still a couple of spaces available for Gr 9 – 12 students who would like to be assistant coach for one of the CISSA volleyball teams. There is a 2-times-a-week commitment for the next 7 weeks and the opportunity to travel to Shanghai with the team in March for the tournament. Speak to Mr Clarke if you are interested.

ACAMIS Kids Read: 21-22 January
NIS is hosting the ACAMIS Kids Read for the second time in two years and we are looking for homestays for 7 bookworms.
Would you like to have some quiet, knowledgeable visitors in your home for one night on Jan 22nd? This could be your chance to meet a potential Quiz Champion or Famous Author or simply a charming International school kid from Ningbo. In addition, it would help us out greatly.
