I am heading to Jakarta on Saturday. I hope to be at the vigil at JIS on Friday 3rd February. If anyone has messages of hope or support they’d like to send – please put hard copies in my mailbox or send emails and I will compile. These are SO very much appreciated! Also someone asked me if I would take a donation for them but I can’t recall who that was. Please come and see me!

MYP CNY Assembly Performers
Please excuse MYP Performers who need to arrive early to setup for their assembly performance, which is Thursday @ 9:20. In particular, grade 6s drummers, student council performers and Helen (pipa) need to come at 08:50 so that we can setup the drums and check the pipa video.
8:50 – take your drums, sticks, and costumes downstairs
8:55 – move your drums in the aisle backstage (Miss Keus will be performing, so do this independently)
09:00 – move drums on stage, then change into costumes
09:05 – have run-through with student council
09:20 – assembly starts

Chinese New Year Celebrations
On Thursday January 26th we will celebrate the Chinese New Year of the Rooster. Our celebrations will begin outside with the dragon dancing and drumming from 7.45am onwards and will continue inside with assemblies. The Primary assembly is scheduled from 8.10 to 9.00 and the Middle and Upper School assemblies from 9.20 to 10.00. The market selling traditional Chinese items will be in the foyer between 9.00 and 11.oo.
