Weekend events

(SW; BZ; CM; AK)

Volleyball – boys improved immeasurably; sense of buoyance at the competition and outstanding throughout the weekend. Boys came in second (all-stars – Pierson Fielke; Andy He); girls determined and showed fortitude, coming through third (all-stars – Eva Clarke and Katy Wong; team awarded sportswomen of event).

Chinese debate competition – we made the top 8 and we are back and involved this Saturday coming. Wonderful efforts and achievements by our students!

Autumn Festival – thanks to everyone who came along to support; 500 parents and students. Great night!

DP Music – virtual IB workshop for the Grade 11 students (Friday – Sunday, 3pm to 9pm each day). Sterling efforts.

Angel is stepping back – there is an opening. Please let KB know by know if you’re interested in taking part.

Melbourne Cup (SW)

Fundraiser for Amy Yang. See Suzy if you’re interested in the sweep, RMB per ticket. Prizes can be vouchers in lieu of prize money.

Amanda Baumann and the Battyes in Nanjing (Battyes to be moved today due to COVID positive passenger on their flight)

Jane Salter and Julie Bartholomew – visas in passports, waiting for flights to depart AU. Date TBC.

Deb and Eysha Tellis – Holly Wang is on the case!

Dave Lalonde and Kathy Dyba – visas and date of arrival TBC

Overall, moving forward with very few people off campus and people returning. After winter break, we are hoping the majority are on campus.
