Professional Dress from Monday

A reminder that professional dress begins on Monday with students and parents on-campus. This is also well timed with new website and placard photos for all being taken on this day as well.

Please see below for faculty dress information:

NIS employees are expected to dress in a professional manner. We have regular visits from government officials, prospective parents, and guests from other schools. With this in mind, the dress guidelines below apply to all teachers, teaching assistants, and learning assistants:

Monday-Thursday

  • Trousers or Modest length skirt/dress
  • Dress shirts (tie and/or jacket optional) or medium/high cut tops (no t-shirts, no spaghetti straps)
  • Closed loafer-style shoes
  • No coaching apparel unless leaving for a tournament during the day (exception: PE teachers)

School Spirit Fridays

Staff should choose to either wear spirit gear as described below or the expected usual dress.

Friday Spirit Gear

Tidy Jeans: dark blue, black, or white; no rips or tears, even if fashionable; not faded

House shirt or NIS apparel

Clean trainers

No t-shirts or hoodies (except NIS house shirts and NIS apparel)

Please let Kasson or Laurie know if you have any questions. Thanks!
