Cupcakes for staff will be available in the faculty lounge at Break.

Friday Afternoon Celebration Plan: A reminder that Homerooms/Advisories will march to the Blue Gym and sit in a predetermined order to enjoy a celebratory all-school assembly. They will then exit the Blue Gym in order and parade through the school with flags and music, exiting via the PAC and on to the pitch to create a large “30” for a school photo. We will then finish in a Circle of Peace before 3:00pm where Primary students will return to their Homerooms and Advisories are dismissed. Please see this plan for Friday afternoon specifics and note the lunchtime changes.

Many thanks for your support as we celebrate three decades of NIS. Please let us know what questions are out there!

Hope Ribbons

A reminder that our special 30th Anniversary “Hope Ribbons” are in now in our pigeon holes (thanks to Weiwei, Samantha, and Shan Shan).

For Advisors and Primary Homeroom Teachers, please work with your students to generate three words (or a short phrase) in any language that expresses their future hopes for the NIS community (or themselves) over the next few days. These can be inspirational words, specific wishes, and/or anything appropriate that contains a message of hope for ourselves or others.

For non-homeroom/advisor colleagues, you will find one ribbon in your pigeon hole just for you!

We will collect all ribbons on Thursday at 11:00am and hang them up in the afternoon so that we get to enjoy this collection of thoughts and ideas on Friday as we enter and exit school on the big day.

Please let Kyle, Laurie, Arek, Christine, or I know if you have any questions, ribbons or otherwise.

Many thanks!

This Wednesday (October 12th Day 2) and Thursday (October 13th Day 3) we are going to distribute the NEW house T-shirts at the library foyer. Everyone will get ONE new house shirt.

The new house shirts sizes are the same as the old ones, Please encourage your students to wear their old house shirts, or they go home and check what size they had, so they don’t need to try the sizes.
