A new year is upon us and the NIS Video Review Team continues its good work filming, documenting, and sharing events and activities around campus.
If you are interested in film, cameras, editing, journalism, or anything media-related (and are in grades 8 – 12) then this is the after-school activity for you!
What you’ll get:
- experience in working in teams
- experience and training in camera technique, editing, video effects, and motion graphics
- experience in leadership
- CAS and GCD opportunities
- (where required and allowed) time out of class to film events
- mad respect from your peers and teachers!
What you need:
- a little commitment
- a little perseverance
- one day per week after school
- some out-of-school-hours availability (depending on events)

Whole School House Assembly Friday!
Good morning all.
Tomorrow is the whole school house assembly. Please wear your house shirt and be ready to engage with students from across the school helping them to build relationships and to develop team and school spirit. We have some excellent volunteers helping to run the activities on Friday morning, but all teachers and staff are expected to participate and support.
- 8:00 Students go to their normal lesson for attendance
- 8:10 Students and staff meet in their house location for the activities
- Xuanwu – Blue Gym
- Taiping – Green Gym
- Wutaishan – Cafeteria
- 8:30 Students and staff all go to the blue gym for a final showcase
- 8:40 Regular Friday commences
Please remind your students to dress in their house shirts or house colors as well!

Ms. Daniella HU (胡卓慧), our new Welcome Centre Assistant, who holds a BA from China and an MA from Poland, will be joining us on Monday Aug 26!
