Step-by-Step Guide to Obtaining a Chinese VAT FA PIAO from Didi Taxi

To request a Chinese VAT FA PIAO (发票) from Didi, a taxi service in China, the steps outlined below is for your reference:

  1. Use the Didi App or WeChat Mini Program: Ensure that you have the Didi app installed on your smartphone or can access the Didi WeChat Mini Program. These platforms are crucial for initiating an official FA PIAO request.
  2. Complete a Ride: Once you have finished a Didi ride for school-related business, you can then request an FA PIAO for a particular trip.
  3. Access the Invoice Option: In the Didi app or mini program, go to ‘My Trips’ or ‘Order History’ to locate the details of your completed rides.
  4. Request an Invoice: Choose the trip for which you need an FA PIAO and look for an option labeled ‘Request Invoice’ (开发票) or ‘FA PIAO’.
  5. Fill in the Invoice Details: You will be required to input your company’s name and tax identification number as below:
    • Full Chinese name of our school:
      • 南京国际外籍人员子女学校
    • Tax ID of our school:
      • 52320100YA1210249X
  6. Choose the Type of Invoice: Select the option for ‘VAT Special Invoice’ (增值税专用发票) or ‘VAT General Invoice’ (增值税普通发票) based on your needs; either will be acceptable.
  7. Submit the Request: After filling in all the information, submit your request. Didi will send the FA PIAO to the email address you have provided. Please consider using your personal email to avoid potential delays because of the school email’s strict security settings, which might filter out bulk emails from a single address.
  8. Receive the Invoice: The FA PIAO will be sent to you electronically, often in PDF format, allowing you to download and print it as needed.

Our fantastic IT Director, Dr. Doak, will help to set up the image guide instruction in our online HUB later.

Thank you for your attention and cooperation.
