Spicy Bites – Neurodiversity Celebration Week

This is the first year that NIS will take part in Neurodiversity Celebration Week, March 18th-24th, 2024.

When it comes to inclusion, neurodiversity refers to a world where neurological differences are recognised and respected as all other human variations. This week, we will run some lunchtime sessions to raise awareness about SOME of the expressions of Neurodiversity in our community.

Spicy Bites, (inspired by the Lunch Byte concept), will run on Wednesday and Friday this week.

Sensory Processing : Wednesday, 12.30, D246, Stephen: How to recognize and accommodate sensory processing differences

Neurodiverse Inclusion, Best Practice: Wednesday, 12.30, LSS, Seth: How to enculture inclusion in our classrooms

ADHD in Women and Girls: Friday, 12.30, D246, Tanya & Tríona: How to recognize, accommodate and include intricacies of ADHD in girls in our learning environments

See you there!

Dear All,

Please find the schedule for the Grade 10 Personal Project Exhibition below – this Wednesday March 20th.

If you have a class when a particular grade is scheduled, please take your class to the PAC so they can visit the booths and ask questions of the students. However, if you already have something important to complete like an exam, then the class work should take priority. Similarly, you can give your students as much or as little time to visit within the time slot, but please ensure that you are also present in the PAC.

Thanks for your support, and see you all on Wednesday in the PAC!

PP Exhibition time on Wednesday in the PAC – 5.45pm – 7.30pm.

PERSONAL PROJECT EXHIBITION is FINALLY HERE!

Wednesday evening in the PAC – 5.45pm to 7.30pm. This is the culminating event for students to showcase their learning. Please come along to learn something new, like how black holes are made or how particular make-up colors can enhance your look! All welcome!
