VIDEO REVIEW WANTS YOU

A new year is upon us and the NIS Video Review Team continues its good work filming, documenting, and sharing events and activities around campus.

If you are interested in film, cameras, editing, journalism, or anything media-related (and are in grades 8 – 12) then this is the after-school activity for you!

What you’ll get:

  • experience in working in teams
  • experience and training in camera technique, editing, video effects, and motion graphics
  • experience in leadership
  • CAS and GCD opportunities
  • (where required and allowed) time out of class to film events
  • mad respect from your peers and teachers!

What you need:

  • a little commitment
  • a little perseverance
  • one day per week after school
  • some out-of-school-hours availability (depending on events)

Come and join in this great NIS tradition

Ultimate Frisbee

Come try something new!

Ultimate Frisbee is a fun, fast-paced game where you get to run, throw, and catch a flying disc with your friends (Activity) . It teaches teamwork and fairness, as players make their own calls without referees.

This could be the Activity you need for your CAS if you are in Grade 11 or 12. If this is new to you…you could achieve the outcome “challenge and new skills” or “ethics” because there is no referee.

RECRUITING FOR NISSAC

NISSAC is looking for people from grade 9-10. We organize events at NIS, such as Sports Awards Evening, Sports Competitions and more. The meetings are every Wednesday during lunch 2. NISSAC counts as CAS, volunteering, and it looks good on your resume. You can also use it for one of your GCD stories. If you are interested in applying for NISSAC, please scan this QR code. Speak to Lizzie or Soojin for more information.

Applications close this Friday, August 23rd.

COME TO A MEETING ON WEDNESDAY IN D228, LUNCH 2 FOR MORE INFORMATION.
