In grade four, we spent some time digging into the work of author/illustrator Chris Van Allsburg. It started out by reading Zathura and analyzing whether or not this qualified as a Science Fiction work. Of course, you can’t really read Zathura without knowing Jumanji, and thus the exploration began.

In the end, students were asked to share words that they felt best described Chris Van Allsburg’s work and style. Here are the wordles that came from each class.
