Grade 9-11 guinea pigs required – mindfulness exercise

I am preparing an audio mindfulness track, about 8 minutes long, designed to help MYP/DP students prepare for their school day. I’d really like a handful of students to come by my office and take a copy of it and commit to listening to it each morning for a week. I’d then like some feedback from you about what worked well and what you would have preferred more or less of.

You can send me an email or drop by to collect the recording.

Based on your feedback, I hope to prepare a number of other recordings for specific areas of student life – exam stress, friendship issues etc.

Many thanks.

The haircut has moved

Due to the sports day being on Friday we will move the epic haircut to Monday at lunchtime.  This is the last week to chose who gets their haircut and in what style.

Noah is back in the lead with Mr Fischl in close second.  Ms Creme is probably feeling safe but less than 100 rmb will put her back in first place.  Felicity and Sophie are still in contention.  A lot can happen this week.

Massive change – hair today gone tomorrow

Well well well – seems someone wants to see Mr. Fischl have a close shave.  A whopping big donation came in for him to be shaved bald.  don’t forget the final winner will be announced at lunch on Friday when they will have the haircut you have decided on.

Music Evening

This year’s Music Evening has been changed to Tuesday, April 26, and will start at 7:00 p.m.

It’s going to be a good mixture of classical and contemporary. For example, we’ll have three orchestras and four rock bands. We’ll also have plenty of soloists and duets, from a grade 5 trio all the way up to grade 9 guitar duets. Some of these events will be teacher-directed, but most of the concert will be pieces that students have put together themselves.

Please come out and support our NIS musicians.
