Dear Teachers, Parents and Friends,
Grade 5 have chosen “Fairness” as the overall theme for their 2017 Exhibition.
To spark their interest, we are looking for any adult who may like to come into class to talk to the students about their own experience of fairness through their work here in China or a personal experience or interest in any organizations that overcomes fairness that would be relevant to their overall understanding of this theme.
An example here in Nanjing would be a trailing spouse who had to give up friends, a job and social life to follow the working spouse and then found an alternative fulfilment here in China through charity work.
Some “unfairness ideas” already suggested by the students are world food/water supplies, animal rights, racism, and various types of discrimination.
Please e-mail any of the grade 5 teachers if you would be willing to help.

Good morning, Students,
Are you looking for a space to brainstorm ideas for a project?
Would you benefit from a shared space for 2-4 peers?
Do you think that it would be useful to have white walls for capturing ideas and making connections?
As part of our Library prototypes, we have set up a visual thinking space for small groups, 4 “walls” of white-boards, near the back of the Library. If you are working on a project today or next week, ask your teacher if you can come and try out this space.
After giving it a go, please provide feedback by scanning the QR code and answering a few short questions.
Thank you,
Mrs Tyoschin
Hello Grade 6-9 Live Theatre Fans!
Grade 6-9 students should report to the PAC directly from Extended Advisory this morning. You should STOW YOUR BAGS neatly in your Advisory and retrieve them directly after the show.
We expect “What a Knight!” to begin at 8:45am conclude between 10-10:15am. At this point, you will retrieve you belongings and head directly to you BLOCK 2 class. All you need to bring is a positive attitude and your best theatre etiquette. Mr. Bratton has purchased your tickets. You’re welcome!
Thanks and enjoy the show!
I’m trying to remember one of the many reasons why choir used to be awesome… oh, right… Yummy treats! If you come to choir today, we will be singing, “Lemon Tree,” “What the World Needs,” and will be having a yummy treat made of cream cheese, butter, egg, vanilla extract, white sugar, and flour.
Today in room M252, from 3:15 – 4:15. See you there!
