MYP Tech Challenge results
Congratulations to all participants in the MYP Tech Challenge. One of the closest Tech Challenges we have had to date. The results are as follows –
G6 – 1st – Wutaishan 2nd – Xuanwu 3rd – Taiping
G7 – 1st -Taiping 2nd – Xuanwu 3rd – Wutaishan
G8 -1st -Taiping 2nd – Xuanwu 3rd – Wutaishan
G9 – 1st -Xuanwu 2nd – Taiping 3rd – Wutaishan
G10 – 1st – Wutaishan 2nd – Taiping 3rd – Xuanwu
Overall
3rd place – Wutaishan
2nd place – Xuanwu

Inter house scores
The scores are very close again this year, and will all come down to the last few events again. Anyone could win it from here, good luck to all 3 houses.
Inter house advisory quiz
Extended advisory Friday the 14th we will hold the 2nd inter house quiz this year. You need 3 teams per advisory and you will be competing against 2 other advisories from the other houses. Make sure you get to advisory early so attendance can be taken and you can get started on time.

Game Day is on tomorrow (Friday) at 1:00 in the back of the library. We’ve had lots of Jenga, Uno, Egyptian, Operation, and a variety of other games played over the past few weeks. Come check it out, socialize, have fun, and see if you can beat your teachers!

MAP Tests
Dear Grade 3 – 10 Students,
Starting on Monday April 17th you will have a second round of MAP testing in Maths and Reading. Be sure to check with your Maths and English teachers when your tests will be held. Your teachers are excited to see how much your have grown as a learner since you did the tests in September. This is our goal.. to Measure your Academic Progress this year using the two sets of data. Questions? Please ask them..
MAP Proctors’ Training – TODAY
If you are a Proctor for a MAP test next week we are offering a refresher session to remind everyone about the logins and how to administer the tests. The session will be run by Joe and Cindy in the MYP LGR TODAY (April 12th) at 3.15pm. See you then with your computers. Contact myself, Joe or Cindy for more information.
G6-10 Inter house Tech Challenge
Today block 5 is the MYP Tech Challenge. All G6-10 students need to line up outside in grade levels outside the Library foyer at 1.50pm today. Teacher will bring you to your designated area for the Tech Challenge at 1.55pm. Make sure that you have 5 teams for each house in each grade level to have the best chance of winning.

If anyone is planning on making a time capsule or wants to show students what cassette tapes, VHS tapes and film cameras look like- the resource room is getting rid of a tub. First come first serve.

Inter-house Trivia Quiz
Mr Hornell’s wacky inter-house trivia quiz will be held this Friday during advisory. Each advisory class should create three teams (2-4 people in each).
Advisors – Please agree a location where you can meet with one advisory class from each of the other two houses. The same groups that competed in the music quiz should work best.
