In search of a Poster Designer for Student Council Events

The Student Council is looking for a “Poster Designer” for Student Council hosted events. Any students wishing to volunteer for this job can simply do the following:

1. Create a poster about the Haunted House on the upcoming Autumn festival

Things to include on the poster:

– Date: Oct 31st 2020

– There will be one haunted house for PS, one haunted house for MS/US with escape room and tag game

– Location (PS: Black Box, MS/US: entrance near the spider web)

– Time (PS: 6pm-7pm, MS/US: 6pm-8pm)

– A phrase like “visit the haunted house and have fun”

2. Send the poster to either Summer(Chi), or Chloe(Yunchae) via email

3. Due date is until next Monday (Oct. 19th), by 3pm

We will let you know the results by next Wednesday, October 21. The winner will work with us for the rest of the year.

This can also be included as a service experience, so don’t miss this chance!!

After School Work Space!

The ASWS (formerly known as Homework Club) is in the Learning Support area (C142 around the corner from the PAC) every Monday and Wednesday from 3:15-4:15. ALL grade 6-12 students are encouraged to attend any time they:

  • Have questions about their classwork
  • Need a space to work on a group project
  • Want to find a quiet place to work on their assignments
  • Want to study for exams or assessments
  • Just want to hang out with Mr. Fischl and Mr. Trevillyan

Please go to room D241 block 2 today instead of Design. Mr Gani will be supervising you. You will be competing in the first Caribou Competition for this year. Bring your fully charged laptop with you. Looking forward to you all blitzing the turtle walk.

MAP Reports Pick-Up Today

Hello Grade 3-5 HR Teachers and Grade 6-10 Advisors,

MAP reports in sealed envelopes will be placed into your mailboxes today before lunch time. Could you please ensure that these go home tomorrow (Thursday)? Our goal is to have all MAP reports going home at about the same time and before the virtual parent session on Friday.

If you teach a grade 6-10 class and would like to access the student profile area of MAP as demonstrated by Kasson yesterday afternoon, please do one of the following:

  1. If it’s your first time logging into our MAP website (i.e. NIS MAP data), check your email for a message with @nwea.org suffix (or something thereabouts). It will contain instructions for logging in.
  2. If you can’t find this email or have logged in before but forgotten your password, click on the “Forgot Password” button and enter your NIS email address in full.
