BTT update- Spider Web

Dear All,

 

Please see the break time spider web using updates:

  • The spiderweb is for primary students ONLY during break times.
  • No violent games.
  • No shaking.
  • Students who cannot use the space respectfully will be asked to leave.

Early Years Field Day ~ This Friday from 8.30am

Dear Parents
A reminder that we will be holding our Early Years Field Day event this Friday and all parents from PreK to G1 classes are welcome to come along and enjoy the fun.
The events details are as follows:
Start Time: 8.30am
Finish Time: 10.40am (approximately)
Where: School Running Track & Field
Please check your email for the Event Map and Schedule.
In the event of rain or a high AQI we will be moving the event into the Green & Blue Gyms.
A few reminders:
  1. ID cards for parents
  2. House shirts for students and parents
  3. Hat and water bottle
  4. Running shoes for students

Last X-Block Changes

Hello X-Blockers

Today is the day to choose your last X-Block project for the year. There are only 9-10 more sessions.

The kitchen is be ready for 6 new cooks TODAY and the music room has space for a few more musicians or people that don’t need any special equipment. Please email Mr Synder if you would like to cook for the last 10 sessions.

Thursday, April 22 (two weeks after Spring Break) will be the last date to change your project or location. No changes will happen after this date.

Girls’ Wednesday Lunch Basketball

Do you want to play basketball but can’t find the time? Do you want to improve your ‘Game’ without the pressure of practices and tournaments? Girls’ Wednesday Lunch Basketball is your ticket to hoops fun. Come out L1 or L2 and find Coach Bradley and/or Coach Romero and get your Game on!!

Volunteering/SA on ManageBac G6-10

To make your life easier, under Description, you only need to fill out the A and B:

and then under Reflection, you answer C, D, E:

Change: How have your changed/What change(s) have you made or will you make?

Description: Describe explicitly how you achieved the learning outcome (and then tick the box).

Evidence: Please upload your evidence (photo, email, video)

Biking Volunteer(s) Needed G 10+

Two – four volunteers who can confidently ride a bike to help at lunch time.  You will be teaching/encouraging/supporting your peers who are learning to ride a bike for Discover China.

Practice will be everyday at lunch for 20-30 minutes unless it rains.

We start Tuesday, March 30 at 12.45 pm

ASWS Reminder

The After School Work Space (formerly called Homework Club) is open every Monday and Wednesday from 3:00-4:10 in the Learning Support Area. ALL grade 6-12 students are invited to come ask questions, receive help with organization, and/or find a quiet place to study.

There will always be teachers at ASWS ready to support you, including Mandarin Support on Wednesdays!

 

Discover China Biking Practice G6-11

Going to:

  • Chongming
  • Lin’an
  • Wuxi
  • Moganshan?

These trips all have a biking activity. If you can’t comfortably ride a bike yet, Bike Practice starts on Tuesday at 12.45pm.

Please bring your bike/helmet if you can. We’ll meet in the Bike Parking Lot at 12.45.

Book Fair & Book Week Celebration

Friday is the final day for the book fair, which will be open from 9:00-12:00 in front of the library. Parents are welcome to come to the book fair!

We will also have an outdoor Book Week Celebration from 9:00-9:30 on Friday which parents and older students are welcome to attend. We will have a character book parade (Friday is “Dress up like a character from a book”), student names will be drawn for prizes, and I will announce the winner of the Panda Tournament of Books. The Celebration will be held on the cement outside of the library entrance.
