2023 NIS Art Sale!

Hi! Currently in the art centre there are many wonderful and beautiful artworks created by our graduated class of 2023, including our wonderful secondary student art pieces created throughout this year. And we want to share their amazing talents and artistic styles to you all!

Please come to the library foyer to observe and BUY, that’s right, all artworks that will be displayed are for sale, allowing for you all to keep that special work of art.

All the proceeds will be donated to Hopeful Hearts allowing for children and adults to receive care.

The initial timing of the sale will begin at lunch this Wednesday and finish this Friday 3:30 pm. There will be instructions on how to pay on the red columns outside near the entrance of the cafeteria, so please be on the lookout for that.

Amber from grade 11 will assist you during breaks, lunches and after schools, if you need it. Her email is amberowczarek@nanjing-school.com.

Secondary students owing library books

We have one week of school left and still have some library books floating around out there. Teachers, please remind the following students to return those books (they’ve received plenty of emails about the books, trust me). Thanks!

Let MYP Design students custom design products for your learning space

Next academic year G9 and G10 MYP design students will have the opportunity to design and build products for real clients (you and your students).

If you or your teaching spaces have any needs such as furniture, teaching materials, hands on learning aids, accessibility assistance, etc. please let me know in the survey link below. This is a great opportunity for students to meet with teachers or your students to put design thinking into practice through a few meetings to collect data, and then follow-up evaluations. Through this both groups build communication skills.

Some examples of possible products:

  • KG outdoor mud kitchen
  •  Indoor rainy day games
  • Reading nook
  • Book display
  • Standing desk
  • Small table for children

You know your space and needs best. We’d love to work with you and your students to custom-design a solution.

At this stage I’m collecting ideas, so if you put something down there is no obligation to go ahead with it.
