Last Volunteer Opportunity for Semester 2 – May 16

The 17th Annual Yangshan Park Run will focus on raising money and awareness for Parkinson’s Disease.

You can choose to run 5km, run or walk 2km. There is a 20 rmb minimum donation. All the money raised will be donated to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.

Please come to the Activities Office and ask Miss Christine to help you sign up on an App.

The event will take place Sunday, May 16. Please be at the park by 8.30 am.

Walkathons are great way to raise money for a good cause, get some exercise, and foster friendships and community spirit.  Everyone from toddlers to seniors can participate. What are you waiting for?

ASWS this week

The After School Work Space is open Monday and Wednesday this week in the Learning Support Area (C142). Mandarin support will be provided on Wednesday. Come on down to:

  • Find a quiet place to work
  • Ask questions about assignments
  • Work on projects
  • Prepare for upcoming assessments

All grade 6-12 students are invited to attend.

PS Athletics Day – Final Details

Here are some final details for Tuesday.

Reminders:

  • Sufficient healthy snacks to eat throughout the day
  • Hats, Drink Bottles and Sun Cream
  • House Shirts for all students
  • ID cards for all parents/family members

If you would like to record your next GCD story as an interview, please sign up as soon as possible. Check your email for the link and the scaffolds.

No Student Office Hours Today

Dear Students in grades 6-12,

Your teachers will be taking part in an online workshop this afternoon and so not available for Student Office Hours today. Please find another time to talk to your teachers and ask your questions. We will be back to normal next week!

ASWS Wednesday Only This Week

The After School Work Space (formerly called Homework Club) will be on Wednesday ONLY this week from 3:00-4:10 in the Learning Support Area (C142).

Come on down to complete assignments, study for exams, work on projects, or just to get organized! All grade 6-12 Students are welcome to attend ASWS.

As an added bonus, there is also Mandarin Support on Wednesdays!
