Assistance with Robotics Competition at NIS
Dear teachers,
This coming Saturday (9th November), NIS is hosting our first ever VEXV5 Robotics Competition.
To ensure that the hosting of this event runs smoothly, there are a lot of small jobs that need to happen on the Saturday, so I am reaching out to see if you could volunteer some time to assist.
Activities that we will need assistance with include;
- Robot Check-in: Making sure robots have their correct colour license plate on before each match
- Pit Monitor: Making sure teams head to match check-in ready for their match
- Field Setup: Checking students reset the field correctly after each match
None of these activities require any knowledge of robotics. If you are able to volunteer a few hours of your time on Saturday, please let me know.
I will be running an information session on Friday for anybody who is interested and able to assist, where I will be showing people exactly what each activity involves. If you cannot make it to that information session, I will also be able to show you what is involved on the Saturday morning. None of the activities are very complicated.
Cheers. Ken and the Robotics Team
