Interhouse Chess – an incredibly close contest!!
The Interhouse chess took place yesterday and it went right to the wire!! Ultimately only one point divided all 3 houses with Wutaishan just winning it by half a point over Taiping with Xuanwu a further half point behind. Well done to all players, the standard of play was very high in the very tense speed chess format. This means that Wutaishan stretch their lead to 50 points as we approach the PYP Dance competition this week and the music knowledge competition in Week 13. The current running scores are below:

Plastic Water Bottles
Hi Everyone!
I’m Sonja and I am collecting water bottles for my DP art project in which I’m going to build a lamp.
If you have empty water bottles and you don’t know what to do with them, you would help me a lot if you could bring them to the Design Centre and leave them in the big blue bag that is on one of the tables in the art area.
Grade 12 – Optimal Living Class – starts today
Finally, a class on how to rock it.
Isn’t it a bit odd that we went from Science to Math to History but somehow missed the class on how to live? For some wacky reason “Optimal Living 101” didn’t make the schedule…
But imagine if that class did exist—and the teachers included everyone from the old school philosophers like Socrates, Marcus Aurelius, Emerson, Nietzsche and the Buddha to modern gurus like Joseph Campbell, Dan Millman, Deepak Chopra, Eckhart Tolle and Wayne Dyer plus the world’s leading positive psychologists like Sonja Lyubomirsky, Tal Ben-Shahar and Martin Seligman who are *scientifically* establishing how we can live with more happiness, meaning and mojo.
Think of Optimal Living 101 as that class we never had.
Grade 12s, you are invited to the optional Optimal Living Course. I hope to see you in my classroom in block 2 today.

Missing Garden Hose Nozzle
A black and yellow hose nozzle has been removed from the community garden. Please see the picture below for reference. It went missing between Friday 2:30 PM and Saturday 10:00 AM.
If you have the nozzle or know what happened to it please contact me because not having it makes watering very difficult in the garden. Thank you.
