ASWS Wednesday Only This Week

The After School Work Space (formerly called Homework Club) will be on Wednesday ONLY this week from 3:00-4:10 in the Learning Support Area (C142).

Come on down to complete assignments, study for exams, work on projects, or just to get organized! All grade 6-12 Students are welcome to attend ASWS.

As an added bonus, there is also Mandarin Support on Wednesdays!

Grade 9 MAP Testing Today

Hello Nifty Grade 9’s,

A reminder that your Spring MAP testing will start today after Break during your regular Math block. You will test by study group. Please see your room locations below:

9A-246 (Mrs. Keller)

9B-243 (Mr. Beck)

9C-242 (Mr. Chesterman’s Room)

 

Please arrive well-rested, well-fed, well-hydrated, and with a laptop well-charged!

This test is an opportunity to demonstrate your learning growth this year; you got this.

Hand Hygiene and Your Health

Did you know?

…up to 80% of communicable diseases are transferred by touch.

…40% of people do not wash their hands after sneezing, coughing, or blowing their nose.

…fecal matter is found on 20% mobile phones.

…only about 10% of people wash there hands correctly.

Stay healthy by washing your hands regularly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds at a time!

Please remember to choose to volunteer or to participate in Athletics Day.

Sign up via MicroSoft Forms before Friday. After that day, we will choose for you.

Here is the schedule for the volunteers:

  1. You can only sign up for 1 shift.
  2. If you miss your classes, it’s your responsibility to contact the teacher about the missed tasks.
  3. Grade 8sCANNOT sign up for Shift 3 – You have MAP testing.
  4. Veracross will open at 12.30pm for registration.

PTA is providing Birthday Cupcakes on Wednesday 14th April, at morning break, in the foyer in front of the Library for all our students with April birthdays.
Kindly remind your students to come by and collect their cake, and for EY liaise with Lucy or me for pick up at a time to suit you.
There were still a large number of unclaimed cakes particularly for MS & US students  last month – do remind everyone to drop by at break time or into Admissions where they will remain for …… a short time !

Sign up to either VOLUNTEER or to PARTICIPATE at Athletics Day.

Choose between volunteering for 2 hours or participating in 4 events to earn house points.

An email will be sent to grade 11s on Tuesday morning during advisory.

Your advisory teachers and your Service teachers will be checking that your ManageBac entries to see that the titles are correctly entered.

When adding a new volunteering experience, please remember to add
