Grade 4 Creative New Undertakings Share-Out

Have you heard a lot of chatter about Creative New Undertakings in Grade 4 this year? Have you wondered what this is all about? Do you want to know more? On Friday, February 17th the Grade 4 students are going to present their progress and thinking about their Creative New Undertakings project to the entire school community. Please join us in the foyer in front of the library from 9:20-10:40 to discover more about exciting student-driven inquiry projects. You will see authors, designers, bakers, woodworkers, filmmakers, cartoonists, builders, interior designers, inventors, problem solvers, and thinkers. We hope you all can make it to this special event.

ACAMIS Conference – March 10&11

The ACAMIS Conference is now less than a month away!  We are looking for a couple of teachers who would like to help out on one or both days.  These teachers, of course, would be welcome to attend sessions.

Vegetable sales from James Gu on Wednesday afternoons 2.30- 3.30pm

A reminder that James will be in school on Wednesday afternoons in the Centre Foyer selling his organic “happy” veg.

James runs a local permaculture farm south of the city and is keen to develop his relationship with NIS.
Paul Johnson knows more about his programme so do ask him if you are interested in finding out more.

Support James and buy his delicious locally produced assorted, seasonal veg.

Homework Club is ON! Today from 3:15-4:15 come on down to Homework Club in the LSS area if:
1. You want to work on something for a class
2. You need help getting organized
3. You didn’t understand something taught in class
4. You are a new student or an old student and want help with Veracross, Managebac, C&S, EE, PP, or anything else that is confusing.
5. You just like coming to Homework Club!

Homework Club is open to ALL grade 6-12 students.

Adv. Orchestra on Monday

The Advanced Orchestra will be performing this Friday at the Awards Assembly. We will be having an extra rehearsal on Monday after school, and thereafter possibly during a lunch hour.

The students involved include:
