Pfrang Day Thanks

An enormous thank you to everyone involved in making Pfrang Day a great success on Saturday-volunteers, performers, facilities, Chartwells, attendees and anyone else I’ve forgotten. A heartfelt “thank you” on behalf of the children whose lives you have helped to change.

Student Council Survey – New Students

Dear students,

If s/he didn’t last week, your advisory liaison should ask you 3 questions today and forward your answers on the Student Council WeChat.

1- How has the transition into NIS been going?
2- Has the Ambassador Program been helpful for you? Why?
3- What could have been done to improve your transition?

If you prefer, you can email your opinions and suggestions directly to us.

Thank you.

Primary Laptop Carts

Greetings PYPeople!

I wanted to let you know of a slight change to the image on the laptops in the three, Primary School carts. In order to make things more efficient and simple for students (and teachers) to access and save class files, we have created “Class Profiles” for you to log into. Have a look at the 5-slide, step-by-step instructions link or below to see what that will look like (you will need to be logged into your Office 365 account to view):

What do you have to do? Almost nothing! We will make the changes over the INSET days after the October break. The only two things we ask are:

  1. Make sure to save things to the PYP server via the shortcut in your profile so that we can guarantee that the evidence of your students’ learning is backed up
  2. Send us an email for any (free or subscribed) software that is imperative to have on the laptops

We will make another call for software requests in December when we do a review of the image.

Thank you,

The IT Team

MS/US Assembly Tomorrow!

Hello Middle and Upper School Future Adults,

Tomorrow is another stellar assembly starting promptly at 8:00am in the PAC. A few FAQ’s regarding bags:

Q. Can we bring bags into the Theatre?

A. No. It’s a safety hazard and it would be weird.

Q. Can we leave our bags outside of the Theatre in the PAC?

A. No. It’s a safety hazard and it looks like a tornado hit a backpack convention.

Q. Can we stick our bags outside in the Pagoda?

A. No. It’s a safety hazard, sometimes it rains and snows, and there are bugs and occasional bird poop. Gross.

Q. What if we are running late to assembly? Can we leave our bags on the benches then?

A. No. Don’t run late to assembly. #NISLIONSSWIMTEAM #EVIANVALLEYRESIDENTS #SLOWWALKERS

Q. Should we make a plan with our Advisor right now to stow our bags in our lockers or in Advisory?

A. Yes!
