ACAMIS touch rugby

If you are in G9-12 and are interested in taking part in ACAMIS touch rugby this year don’t forget to sign up on Veracross.  Training will take place on Monday and Wednesday afternoons from 4.10pm to 5.40pm.

CISSA touch rugby

It is back.  Summer is in full force which means it is Touch Rugby season.  If you are in grades 5-8 and are interested in playing the only all inclusive game of touch rugby then don’t forget to sign up on veracross.  If you don’t know how to play touch rugby or even what touch rugby is and would like a fun, social game then sign up as we have several student coaching staff who are all level 1 certified and there to help you learn.  Trainings will be on Wednesday and Friday after school from 3.10pm to 4.10pm.

MYP/DP Assembly Today at 2:29pm!

Hello All Grade 6-12 Students and Teachers,

Thanks for a great first day of school yesterday! Today we will have a Welcome Back assembly in the PAC beginning at 2:29pm sharp. Here’s what you need to know:

  1. Please be on time! This means you need to leave your Block 5 class at 2:24pm. Your teachers know, but feel free to (kindly and politely) remind them. 🙂
  2. We’ll sit in advisories. This will be good practice for the future. Returning students, help those new to your advisory (like maybe tell then where to sit right now!)
  3. Don’t bring your bags. 300 backpacks in the PAC foyer is NOT going to work. You will be dismissed at 2:55pm to head back to class and get your things.
  4. Thanks and see you then!

Duties

Dear All

Duties start today. Attached is the duty schedule for the first semester. I understand this has been shared quite late and you might want to swap your duty. This is still possible of course, please email me and the person you are swapping with and clearly let me know the swap. Returning staff most of you on are two duties, returning TA’s you are on only one duty. New members of staff and new TAs you do not have duties this semester. The names of the duties have changed slightly but I hope are clearer (thanks Marina for your input on this). Please make sure you familiarise yourself with the medical alerts for students (in the staff lounge bulletin board).

MYP/DP Production Auditions!

Calling all performers…

This year’s MYP/DP school production will be Peter Pan. This is set to be a spectacular production set on the mystical island of ‘Neverland’, where magic and mischief will captivate all involved!

Auditions will be on Monday 22nd August and Wednesday 23rd August during lunch break in the Theatre, with possible callbacks Thursday 24th and Friday 25th August.

If you are interested in being a part of this extraordinary production, please see Mr Brown or Ms Philip in the Black Box for an audition extract and further details.

You do not need to be a Drama student or to have any prior performance experience to be part of this production. Just a desire to perform and commit to being in something amazing!
