Music Tech Rehearsal

The Music Evening tech rehearsal will run from 3:15 – 5:15. All performers are required to attend so they know when to enter the stage, what audio will be needed, etc. If there are any scheduling problems with athletics, please check your performing order with Miss Keus or Ms. Heidi to see whether you can come later or leave earlier.

  • have your instrument and sheet music ready by 3:15 in the theatre
  • send the picture of your concert attire to Miss Keus or Ms. Heidi by Monday evening
  • come to the rehearsal with a snack (to eat outside) and water (okay in the theatre)
  • bring a book, laptop, etc., to entertain yourself while you await your turn on stage
  • make sure you have transportation home afterwards; you will be free to go as soon as your time on stage is finished

Your supervising teachers will be:

Miss Keus & Ms. Heidi – running rehearsal
Ms. Patrick – backstage
Mr. Brown – tech

Music Evening

This year’s Music Evening has been changed to Tuesday, April 26, and will start at 7:00 p.m.

It’s going to be a good mixture of classical and contemporary. For example, we’ll have three orchestras and four rock bands. We’ll also have plenty of soloists and duets, from a grade 5 trio all the way up to grade 9 guitar duets. Some of these events will be teacher-directed, but most of the concert will be pieces that students have put together themselves.

Please come out and support our NIS musicians.

Hair today gone tomorrow – lots of changes

Ms Creme is now in the lead but only just.  Felicity has knocked Mr. Fischl into last place.  He is feeling far too safe, only you can change that.  We will be collecting at break and lunch each day with the haircut happening on Friday out on the podium by the field.  Who will win a wonderful haircut? Only you can decide that.

I am looking for volunteers for break and lunch each day to help.  Please email me if you can help.

Hair today gone tomorrow – the gap is closing

Wow Ms. Creme is closing the gap on Noah and Sophie has moved into third place.  There is still time to chose Felicity of Mr. Fischl.  I would love to see Felicity with a purple and green mohawk – but then I am colorblind.  We will be collecting your donations at break and lunch today and again next week – who will win the haircut they have been dreaming about?Screen Shot 2016-04-21 at 3.42.52 PMFourth Hair today poster
