 2021 Flu Vaccination Registration

Dear NIS staff and family members,

The flu shot will be arranged by school at the end of Oct. or the beginning of Nov. As limited number of flu vaccines at the moment, first Come first Serve.

Are you going to take vaccination at local community clinic this year?  If you are interested,  please read Influenza Vaccine Consent Form , you are required to sign a consent prior to vaccination.

Then please reserve your shot here 2021 Flu Vaccination Registration by Wednesday Oct.20.

Volunteers Needed – Saturday, October 30

As you know, every G6-10 student must complete ONE volunteering experience per semester.

Here is another chance!

We are hosting a Football tournament on Saturday, October 30. We need people to help collect the balls when the balls are kicked out of bounds. You need to be quick on your feet and focused on the game!

Please sign up for a shift on Veracross. We need eight volunteers for each shift. Here are the times:

A) 9.10 am – 10.25 am

B) 10.20 am – 12.15 pm or when the game finishes.

C) 1.20 pm – 3.15 pm

D) 3.10 pm – 4.40 pm or when the game finishes.

You didn’t? It’s okay, I am letting you know now (again). All students in grades 6-10 must do

at least ONE volunteering experience and then fully document it on ManageBac. Don’t worry, I’ll remind you AGAIN,

and AGAIN, and AGAIN! The PTA is once again hosting the Autumn Festival and will need awesome and energetic volunteers

to help with games and face painting. The sign up will be on Veracross. You will need to purchase a ticket for 50 rmb which entitles

you some food and drink. There are 2 shifts. Each shift requires 25 fantastic volunteers.

Shift #1 – 3:30-5:15pm

Shift #2 – 4:45-7:00pm

Are you someone who has experienced the transitioning process from one school to another? Are you an expert of IB programs or an expert in NIS? Are you interested in taking on the responsibility of helping other members in our community who feel lost and facing obstacles in this system? A.S.K. is recruiting student mentors/tutors who have 1) Authentic experiences and who are 2) Supportive and 3) Kind.

Secondary MAP Testing Starts Tomorrow!

Hello Grade 6-12 Students,

If you have not done so already please download the new NWEA MAP App today! Instructions can be found here or here. Please see IT for additional support.

The schedule for your testing over the next two weeks is located here. Please note your testing times and locations. Students testing in Block One should check in with your Block One teacher for attendance, then head to your testing location.

Grade 6 is up tomorrow after Break in on the 3rd floor of the Centre.

As always, the best preparation is a good night’s sleep, a charged laptop, and a positive mental attitude. Please let your Advisor, Ms. Clarke, or Mr. Bratton know what questions you may have.
