Dear NIS
We are three 5th graders working on a project for our PYPX. As a part of our action, we are going to run a Sugar Challenge. This challenge is to stop eating added sugar. The NIS Sugar Challenge will begin on April 15th, 2024. The specific rules of the challenge are as follows,
Students in grades 1-3: (With parent and teacher’s help) try not to eat extra sugar for 2 days.
Students in grades 4-12: Try not to eat extra sugar for 5 days.
Teachers: Try not to eat extra sugar for 5 days.
As a reward, you will get a sugar-free but sweet cookie.
If you’d like to join us, please sign up on the form. For kids in grades 1-3 we ask that teachers help them fill out the form.
Join us in the Sugar Challenge!
This is it. It’s down to two books! Teachers and students, voting end today at 3pm. Many students and classes have already voted…thanks for the support!

Come out and cheer on our athletes as they compete to earn points for their houses.
There are two events in particular that we’d love all the cheering and support we can get:

MEGA Relay @ 14.15 to 14.30 (One gigantic event featuring a mix of runners from grades 1 to 5, also including teachers and parents)
(We ask that all non-primary staff and student spectators please stay on the north side of the track)
Hope to see you out there!
