Good Morning

Our grade 5 students will run their PYPX in the PAC on Friday, May 17th from 9:00 am to 12:30. This will be the sharing of their PYPX learning with the students after the Thursday evening share to their families. 

Please sign up for your students with the time slots that suit your class.

Secondary teachers – textbook check in/out directions

Teachers, I’ve attached the directions for how to check textbooks in and out to students in case you are in need. Students can also bring textbooks to the library for check in/out, and DP students can drop off their textbooks in one of the library carts. FYI: As for seniors, the only textbooks still out are for English, Biology, Korean, and German. There are also some musical items and one mic still checked out. Contact me if you want specifics!

NIS is proud to present a solo art exhibition created and curated by our very own Jiansen in Grade 11. Please visit his art exhibition in the Centre Cafe any time during school hours – opening now until May 31st!

Dear Grade 8-11 Advisors,

The May Exam Schedule and Protocols have been shared with students. Ms. Fox and Mrs. Bennett will hold information sessions with grade 8-11 students this week and an exam schedule including locations will be provided closer to exam time.

Teacher AI Guidance

Please click here for a handy one-pager on the use of AI at NIS. A student version was also shared this morning after additional feedback from Secondary Student Council. The overall goal is to be clear with students about the extent to which AI tools can be used based on what is (and what is not) being assessed. Let’s Look for opportunities for the creative use of AI tools like Magic School without impacting our ability to assess students’ skills, knowledge, and understanding.
