NIS QUIZ – December 10th

The NIS quiz, aka The Humanities Bowl, is back!

Put all that exam revision to good use.  We are looking for students to submit questions for the quiz.  Please email Mr Underwood questions from units you have studied this year or before.  Please tell me your name, grade and which of the following subjects your question relates to.

We are looking for questions (you must also include answers in your emails) from the following subjects:

Science

Humanities

Maths

Literature

The Arts

Design

Languages

PE

Even if you submit questions you can still take part.  The Quiz is on Thursday, December 10th in the theatre.  Teams can have no more than 5 people in them and there must be at least one student in every team.

Share Your Good Fortune

Spare a thought for children very much less fortunate than yourselves. Why not bring some joy into the lives of some of our Pfrang students by buying Giving Tree gifts? 100RMB, either from you and your family or a joint money-raising effort in class, will get a gift for one student. We have 280 students to provide for. On sale in the Centre foyer before and after school. Giving works twice-THEY feel good receiving, and YOU feel GREAT giving!

Activities Schedule for ASA/Athletics/Community Activities

From Veracross Portal, you can check not only your academic class schedule but also your activities schedule. From there you will see when you will have your ASA, Athletics and community activities. Here is how:

1. Login to Veracross Portal: https://portals.veracross.com/nis/

2. From “PORTAL LINKS“,  you will find “Activities Schedule“. Open it, you will find your ASA, Athletics and Community Activities Schedule.

The Final Countdown

Twas the last day of Movember, and all through NIS,
Men were scratching their itchy faces, while women were thinking, “YES!
Finally the time has come, for our men to be less hairy,
Though some of them were kind of handsome, most looked a little scary.”
The razors have been sharpened and the shaving cream is all set,
but before Movember is finished, try not to forget:
These men were doing more than just growing facial hair,
They were raising money for male health issues, and helping others to be more aware.
So if you get a chance today, please visit this site and donate,
Movember may almost be over, but it’s definitely not too late!
