Charity Drama Final Sharing @PAC
Wednesday Nov 16th, at 19:00, we will have the Charity Drama Final Sharing at PAC. This is the second year we work together with Amity and Yu Theatre to involve migrant worker’s kids and our students in drama rehearsal and performance.
This year we have around 20 students from migrant workers’ families and 11 of our Grade 6 students, and they have been working on Shakespeare’s classic “Tempest”. All of them have worked hard and throughly enjoyed the experience. For the migrant workers’ kids, they have been very brave to step out of their comfort zone to practice in English. Our students also have been friendly and hard working.
Annie Philip has worked very hard to put everything together, preparing the script, instructing the students, leading the rehearsals. Without her, the project won’t happen at all.
The event on Wednesday evening is an informal sharing of what all the kids have done through the previous rehearsals, a time to let the kids shine~~ All members of NIS community are welcome to come to support the young performers.
Julien from L’Arome restaurant at Jinling Hotel – card to sign
If any of you have eaten at the French Restaurant L’Arome downtown under the Jinling Hotel and know the Maitre D – Julian Desmettre – you may like to come to my office and sign a card for him.
Tragically, his young daughter has an inoperable brain tumour. He is taking her back to France shortly to a hospice where he will stay for the last months of her life.
The card is on my desk- please drop by anytime.
Thanks
