MAP Results Home Today

Hello Grade 3-5 homeroom teachers and Grade 6-10 Advisors,

This morning you will find MAP results in your pigeon hole. Please ensure that these are sent home today. Please also remind our students that parents expect these results to find their way home in a SEALED envelope. Ideally these results are shared in a conversation between parent and children at home. Adam, Ruth, and Kasson will lead Parent Coffee’s this week as well. Many thanks!

Child Protection Sessions Tuesday

Hello All,

On Tuesday afternoon we will plan to meet in the LGR to refresh our understanding of child protection at NIS. Primary will meet first at 2:45pm, follow by Secondary from 3:30pm. A reminder that all of our Child Protection and Peer-to-Peer Safeguarding documents and procedures can be found here in the Digital Hub. Many thanks and see you then.

Pfrang Giving Tree Sales Update

Two thirds of the Giving Tree cards available have been sold and the Pfrang Association is once again blown away by the generosity of the NIS community. As of this past Friday the class competitions are really heating up. In the Primary Homerooms division, it’s become a race between two upper grades as Mr. McEwen’s Homeroom has a slight 10-7 lead on Ms. Baumann’s group. In the Secondary, it’s even tighter as two Advisories, Griffith/Merino and Hornell, are tied but only one card ahead of two other Advisories, terBorg/Dutton and Beck/Stevens. No matter who wins the two pizza parties charitably donated by Pizzeria #9, it’s the 310 students Pfrang supports that truly benefit. Cards will continue to be sold before school this week and at the Charity Bazaar until all 310 have been sold. Thank you all for helping us brighten up their school year.
