Mindfulness recordings

Here are the two mindfulness recordings I referred to earlier last week. Designed for MYP/DP students, but anybody in the community is welcome to try them out.

Mindfulness tracks

Interhouse Music

This year’s interhouse music competition will be in two weeks, which is plenty of time for the houses to practice. Which song? Well, we’ve had rock, country, and jazz, so this time we are going for… (drum roll, please)… RAP! Yes, each house needs to find at least one rapper to help support the song.

Music: Stressed Out, by 21 Pilots

Sheet Music: StudentlargeStorage / Music / Interhouse

If you have any questions, please see Miss Keus or Ms. Heidi in the music area.

PYP Athletics Day – Thank you

Thank you to our PE team for organising a sunny and fun PYP Athletics Day. The students were keen to participate and many were very proud of their accomplishments. Thank you, too, to all the teachers who stepped up and ran events, took times, marshalled, recorded scores and to those who had the near-impossible job of crowd control under the tent. You were fabulous!

The remains of the day can be found across from my office. Send students down to pick up what they left on the field. Thanks!

Accreditation: Choose your committee

On Tuesday May 3rd we will launch the Accreditation self study. During this meeting we will be asking everyone to choose the committee that they would like to be on for the self study. To assist you in making the choice we have compiled a short guide to the Accreditation Committees which is attached. More information will also be given on Tuesday but if you have any questions please do ask. All members of staff need to choose a committee unless you will not be at NIS next year.

Accreditation Committees 2016/17

In addition I am attaching the Accreditation Guide which contains the full descriptions of each of the committees.

MYP/DP Extended Advisory Becomes Athletics Day

Hello MYP/DP Trackstars,

As you know, the MYP Athletics Day has been moved to tomorrow! This means that there is no Extended Advisory. Please see Mr. Clarke’s schedule for the plan of action. I’ll be thinking Blue, how about you?!

Enjoy!
