Nevertheless, a podcast about women in technology, has created eight free downloadable posters about STEM role models from around the world — each featuring the artwork of a female artist. The women featured serve as amazing role models in their fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (or STEM as it’s often referred to).

ACAMIS Track and Field Training
ACAMIS Track and Field Training has started.
It seems that ACAMIS Track and Field Training is the place to be. We have had some very healthy numbers to training so far. If you are interested in developing fitness components and acquiring skills that are transferable to other sports then come along. Please register on Veracross and join the crew – Monday and Wednesday 4.15-5.45 pm.

NIS Grade 6-9 Swim Showcase – THIS Thursday 28th February)
Teachers/advisors please can you let students out of class 10 minutes early in time for blocks 2 and 4 so that they can get changed.
Teachers are welcome to watch and support; supervision not needed.
ALL students are expected to participate in the event and ‘showcase’ some of the learning and skills that you have been working upon throughout the unit.
This is the LAST part of the ‘formative’ assessment for Criteria C (Applying and Performing) in the unit
All students are encouraged to bring a towel, wear a top and footwear to the pool (especially from the Green gym)
Block 1: Grade 8 (Students change in the swimming pool changing rooms)
Block 2: Grace 6 (Students change in the green gym changing rooms) Mr Dutton/Mr Stevens will guide you
Block 3: Grade 9 (Students change in the swimming pool changing rooms)
Block 4: Grade 7 (Students change in the green gym changing rooms) Mr Dutton/Mr Stevens will guide you (6B to watch Grade 7 and work on their project)
Block 5: Grade 9C to have regular PHE in the gym
Regular lessons resume in the gym on Friday 1st March
G8 Presentation about Course Choices
Grade 8 Students! Please come to the Music Room straight after Advisory today (Tuesday 26th Feb) for a presentation about the course choices for Grade 9. See you there.
MS (Gr7-9) Basketball starts today!!
Grade 7 – 9 Basketball starts today at 4.20pm in the gym. If you are in Gr7 – 9, come and have a try. All Gr7&8 players, irrespective of previous experience, will participate in the CISSA competition in May, there are no try-outs or cuts for this team. For the SCISAC part of the squad, 12 players will be selected from Gr7 – 9 to travel to Taiwan. Sign up on Veracross.

Wednesday’s Yearbook Mugshot and Group Photo Schedule
Dear Colleagues:
Attached are Wednesday’s photo timetable (for mugshots and class group photos) and a list of students who need to have their mugshots taken.
Students who need mugshots should report to the MS LGR between 8:00 and 8:25; for teachers and other staff who need an individual photo, the times are 12:50 to 1:25 and 2:45 to 3.
Group photos begin at 8:40. MS/US students should be released five-to-seven minutes before their appointed times so that they can be ready to be photographed. PS students teachers should come as a homeroom group.Mugshot & Homeroom Group Photos 2-27-19-26y0x38
