JSTOR – we now have access!

We now have access to JSTOR (https://jstor.org), another great online research database. We don’t need to login or use a password…it uses IP Authentication, so should automatically say “Access provided by Nanjing International School” at the top of the page.

Grade 9 we are ready for more GCD today. Come to the LGR at 1.30, Block 5. You will not be in the Service Learning class with your Advisory but in the LGR wit me.

Have you completed your volunteering yet?

We still need volunteers for the Learning 2 Conference in October.

Four volunteers are needed for each time slot:

  • Friday, October 18th, 8.00 am – 12.00 pm
  • Friday, October 18th, 12.30 pm – 4.30 pm
  • Saturday, October 19th, 8.00 am – 12.00 pm
  • Saturday, October 19th,12.30 pm – 4.30 pm

Reading habits – Survey for DP Spanish class (MS/US)

Following up the DP Spanish students’ presentation during assembly last Friday, please remember your advisees in grades 6 -12 to fill in this survey. It takes no longer than 3 minutes to complete.

The link will be active from September 9th, till September 13th.

Service as Action: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Who: Grade 6-8 Students

What: Doing Service as Action to help the school and the environment

When: Day 5, Block 5 and after school once a week

How: Come to D240 at the start of lunch Tuesday or Wednesday this week to find out.

HWC-What’s the best thing about Switzerland?

I don’t know, but its flag is a big plus!

While on the topic of Maths (kind of), Homework Club is on this week Monday and Wednesday from 3:15-4:15 in the Learning Support area (C142). All students grades 6-12 are welcome to come study, complete projects, and finish homework. There are always teachers ready to help you if you need it.
