Managebac Level II

Managebac Training

 

Managebac Level II training will be offered today from 1300 in D218. (Note: You must complete Level I training and the accompanying quiz in order to take Level II).

The instructional portion of the training will be around 20-30 minutes, but Cindy and Joe will be available for the duration of the lunch break to answer questions and facilitate deeper dives. All MS/US teachers must attend at least one session prior to the end of the school year (and before taking any other levels of Managebac training). Level II will cover the following:

Reporting – an introduction to how the gradebook functions in Managebac and connects with the various assessment tasks you’ve created, as well as how this looks on the student side.

Teachers will be able to:

  1. Understand how Formative and Summative assessments are represented in the Gradebook tab
  2. Understand how Managebac displays feedback on tasks to students
  3. Navigate through the Gradebook tab including student progress section
  4. Understand how tasks are represented on the Student portfolio (including the “Learning Goals” feature)

MS/US Student Council Election Results

The MS/US Student Council would like to thank all of you for voting in this years election. We would also like to thank all the candidates for running for office.

The winners of the election were Chloe(Yunchae) and Summer. Congratulations and we look forward to seeing what you achieve next school year.

Managebac Level I

Managebac Training

 

Our final Managebac Level I training will be offered today from 1300 in D218. The instructional portion of the training will be around 20-30 minutes, but Cindy and Joe will be available for the duration of the lunch break to answer questions and facilitate deeper dives. All MS/US teachers must attend at least one session prior to the end of the school year (and before taking any other levels of Managebac training). Level I will cover the following:

Assessment connecting the unit plans that have been created in Managebac to assessment tasks and learning activities, including how to navigate between these elements.

Teachers will be able to:

  1. Create/Modify/Delete categories of assessment tasks (i.e. quizzes, tests, projects, etc.)
  2. Create/Modify/Delete types of assessment tasks (i.e. Formative vs. Summative)
    a. Create/Modify/Delete task-specific clarifications related to assessment tasks
  3. Add resources to Units and Tasks and edit the organization of them
  4. Understand how the Resource/Stream feature works
  5. Connect Task submissions to Turnitin Feedback Studio
  6. Develop an understanding of basic navigation within Managebac

Staff Health & Travel Survey

Considering the majority of our staff, including outsourced staff, come to school with a health form in hard copy, we will stop the online Staff Health & Travel Survey from Sat May 30.

Don’t forget about the Managebac training sessions for all MYP and DP teachers during lunchtime to prepare for using it in the fall. We will be offering 3 levels of training in order to ensure teachers are prepared for this change, and awarding digital badges to recognize mastery levels.
