There was a typo in the recipe shared last week in the weekly bulletin. Please find the corrected version below and please do not bring any cupcakes to school that used the previous recipe.

University Visit (Virtual) – Tomorrow in the LGR

Three stellar colleges will be visiting NIS virtually tomorrow.

When? 1pm

Where? LGR?

Which college / universities?

Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne (Laussane, Switzerland) – A very popular hospitality school with an excellent reputation. A big plus of this school is that given its ability to incorporate businesses into its programs; they attract hundreds of non-hospitality businesses, recruiting its well-rounded students for employment.

Bocconi University (Milan, Italy) – A private university in Milan, Italy. Bocconi has been a very popular choice for international students going to Italy and those looking to study Business, Economics or Law in English.  This university is rated in the top 10 in Europe for its programs in Economics.

IE Business School (Madrid, Spain) – another popular choice among internationals looking at studying in Spain in English.  The main focus is Business, International Relations and Law, but does offer Comp Sci and AI.

Volunteering Experiences

All students in grades 6-10 must complete ONE volunteering experience and document it on ManageBac (description, reflection and evidence).

Sign up NOW on Veracross!

Here are some experiences you can do:

*If you are in grades 6-10, you can only choose ONE outcome that you will try to achieve.

** These are OFF-CAMPUS experiences. Come to the Activities Office to find out more.

Donate used books

Do you have used books at home that you no longer read?  This is a great opportunity to clear up your shelf space!  Bring in your used books and donate them to a Chinese migrant school in Chongqing.  We are looking for both Chinese and English books for primary school children.  Drop off your books in the white bin in the Centre or bring them to Ms. Moen’s room, D213.

Volunteering Opportunities

Please check the bulletins from earlier this week. Sign up on Veracross or come to the Activities Office for help.

*Choose only one learning outcome if you are in grades 6-10

**Off-campus, not organised by NIS.
