Book Donations

We are collecting used books in good condition for a primary school near Chongqing. Please bring in Chinese language or English language books suitable for primary school children. Drop off in the box in the Centre Lobby or Room D213, Ms. Moen’s classroom. Thank-you!

 

Vidigami – it’s the latest thing!

Dear Teachers,

We are excited to announce the launch of our new school photo sharing system, Vidigami. Vidigami is a world-leading private social platform exclusively designed for schools.

Why Vidigami?

  • Used by hundreds of private and international schools across the globe
  • A safe, secure, and very convenient system for NIS to share high quality photos of your students, events, and more
  • A place for you to upload photos you’ve taken of an activity to share with our community

You are welcome to join any of our training sessions during Lunch 2 on the 4th, 5th or 6th of May in Danny’s room (D218) on the Vidigami platform. Please bring your laptop and phone if you wish to attend.

ACAMIS Badminton Trip@Shenzhen on May 6-9

Please find the attached list of 8 students from Grade 10 to Grade 12 will join in ACAMIS Badminton in Shenzhen on May 6-9th, they will leave school after 3pm on Thursday May 6th, they will miss all classes on Friday May 7th (Day 4). MS-US Athletics Day – Wednesday 28th April (Final Information)

On Wednesday All students AND staff will participate in Athletics day with the aim for Grade 6-10 showcasing their learning and progress throughout their unit.

This day is a collaborative one with students enjoying support to strive for their own personal excellence.

Some things to remember:

Please bring water-bottles and healthy snacks for the day ahead (if sharing snacks you can get house points for this)

Please wear your house shirts, sports shoes/clothing and bring hats/sun cream as well (weather is expected to be warm/hot)

Eating lunch for MS/US is first, followed by recreation

The lists for the events will be posted onto bulletin boards and emailed to you.

Technology – Please make good choices about what tech you bring to school and how you use it!

CMB Qixia Branch will CLOSE on May 2, 4, 5 and OPEN IN LIMITED HOURS on May 1 (09:00-16:30) & 3 (09:00-17:00), 2021 during International Labour Day.

Last Volunteer Opportunity for Semester 2 – May 16

The 17th Annual Yangshan Park Run will focus on raising money and awareness for Parkinson’s Disease.

You can choose to run 5km, run or walk 2km. There is a 20 rmb minimum donation. All the money raised will be donated to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.

Please come to the Activities Office and ask Miss Christine to help you sign up on an App.

The event will take place Sunday, May 16. Please be at the park by 8.30 am.

Walkathons are great way to raise money for a good cause, get some exercise, and foster friendships and community spirit.  Everyone from toddlers to seniors can participate. What are you waiting for?
