Secondary MAP Testing Starts Tomorrow!

Hello Grade 6-12 Students,

If you have not done so already please download the new NWEA MAP App today! Instructions can be found here or here. Please see IT for additional support.

The schedule for your testing over the next two weeks is located here. Please note your testing times and locations. Students testing in Block One should check in with your Block One teacher for attendance, then head to your testing location.

Grade 6 is up tomorrow after Break in on the 3rd floor of the Centre.

As always, the best preparation is a good night’s sleep, a charged laptop, and a positive mental attitude. Please let your Advisor, Ms. Clarke, or Mr. Bratton know what questions you may have.

Flu Vaccination Registration

Dear NIS staff and family members,

The flu shot will be arranged by school at the end of Oct. or the beginning of Nov. As limited number of flu vaccines at the moment, first Come first Serve.

Are you going to take vaccination at local community clinic this year?  If you are interested,  please read Influenza Vaccine Consent Form , you are required to sign a consent prior to vaccination.

Then please reserve your shot here 2021 Flu Vaccination Registration by next Wednesday Oct.20. 

Please note, at this moment, the shot is only offer to NIS staff and core family members. If you have any queries, please contact with me via nurse@nanjing-school.com

Thanks for your interest in Community Activities. Registration is still open until today 4pm. There are still a few seats available for some activities, like English Text book & Conversation, Hatha Yoga, Wednesday Work-out, Aqua Fitness, Chinese Brush Painting, Saturday Soccer NIFC, Pilates for Men, Yoga Staff Only, Pilates Staff Only, and some Adults Learn to Swim Classes.

NIS IDs and SuKangMa required at the Gate to enter. All genders and levels welcome. However, students 5th grade and below must be accompanied by an adult. Email or talk to andyromero if you have any questions.

Bikes Wanted!

One of the projects in Grade 10 Design is the repurposing of bicycles. The students have come  up with some great ideas but what we are lacking is used bicycles to re-purpose. If you have an old bicycle taking up space at home we would love to give it a new life in some form. We are hoping to start work in the next week or so. If you are able to help please contact Mr Stevens, Mrs Clarke or any of the Design teachers. Thank you!
